Stone carpet is a decorative covering made of marble aggregate or pebbles bound in a resin binder, trowel-applied in a single continuous layer. It suits both indoor and outdoor surfaces.
Where it makes the difference
- Terraces and pool surrounds: slip-resistant, UV- and frost-resistant, it copes with Morocco's climate.
- Paths and courtyards: in the permeable version, rainwater passes through and drains beneath the layer.
- Entrance halls, landings, stairs: a high-end mineral look, seamless, easy to clean.
See the Stone Carpet page and the Floor Coatings category.
What sets the price
- The area and its geometry (cuts, steps, slopes).
- The binder and aggregate size: permeable or closed and watertight version.
- Substrate preparation: new slab, old tiles, any repairs.
- Finishes: edges, thresholds, junctions, patterns or colour blends.

Stone carpet or resin floor?
For a technical indoor floor (industry, car park, laboratory), epoxy resin remains the benchmark — see our epoxy resin flooring guide. For a decorative, permeable outdoor surface, stone carpet is a better fit.
Smart Coating lays stone carpet in Casablanca, Dar Bouazza, Marrakech, Agadir and across Morocco.
